Nike continues to ride high above the competition as the leading jersey and shoe provider for the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. The brand, along with its affiliate Jordan Brand, comes into this year’s tournament repping 41 of the 68 teams in the field, matching the number they outfitted last year. 44 teams. That total includes three of the four No. 1 seeds.

Nike continues to dominate as the top jersey and shoe provider of teams in the NCAA Tournament. Nike and its affiliated Jordan Brand are outfitting 41 of the 68 teams in the field (33 Nike, 8 Jordan), down just one team from last year’s 42. Notably, two No. 1 seeds, Houston and Florida, wear Jordan Brand while Duke is the only top seed to wear Nike. Under Armour again has the second-most team with 14 schools, though that is down from 16 that earned a bid in 2024.

Today marks 30 years since the first edition of SBJ Daily -- officially known as The Sports Business Daily in September 1994 -- and somehow I’ve been around for nearly two-thirds of that time. My first day working here was February 28, 2005. To say things have changed -- both in the sports business world and in SBJ’s internal world -- might be the understatement of the year.

The latest chapter in one of MLS’s top rivalries -- Galaxy-LAFC -- will take place tomorrow night at the Rose Bowl in front of what will be a record crowd for a league match. More than 80,000 fans will be in Pasadena for the Galaxy home game, breaking the previous record set last year when Charlotte FC drew 74,479 fans to Bank of America Stadium for their MLS debut.
