“Several cases came to our notice where genuine beneficiaries could not avail this scheme as many would get their income certificates even if they were not eligible under it. This left many children deprived. Sharing the key to his success, 18-year-old Mohit Agrawal from Ahmedabad who secured All India Rank (AIR)-90 in the JEE Mains exam, said he ‘devoted seven to eight hours a day towards studies.’ Agrawal secured 285 out of 300 in session 2, the results of which were declared on Saturday. As a student of Maharaja Agrasen Vidyalaya in Ahmedabad’s Memnagar, Agrawal said he started preparing for the JEE examination from Class 9 only.

With both his parents practising medicine, 17-year-old Shiven Vikas Toshniwal from Gujarat’s Kutch who secured All India Rank (AIR)-9, with a perfect score of 100 percentile, in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), says he is happy with his result and is glad that there was ‘no pressure from his parents to follow medical field’. Toshniwal firmly believes in ‘following your interests’ to achieve the desired results.
