PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Thursday. We had another beautiful day across the region today with plenty of sunshine seen. High temperatures this afternoon reached the upper 50s for most towns, with some communities briefly rising into the lower 60s late this afternoon. With cloud cover and shower chances in the forecast tomorrow, don’t expect high temperatures to climb as much as what we saw outside today.

After another day with some sunshine was seen across the region today, more sunshine is expected tomorrow as high pressure continues to build into the region. Nice weather isn’t expected to last much longer, with changes in the forecast for the end of the work week. Showers likely arrive across the state during the morning hours of Friday, with activity becoming more scattered in nature as the day goes on.

This will bring showers and downpours to the forecast tonight, with activity not lasting very long. Showers are done before sunrise tomorrow morning, with some lingering cloud cover expected early in the day.

Highs today were able to climb into the upper 60s for most towns, with southern communities a degree or two shy of the 70 degree mark. More sunshine is expected tomorrow as high pressure builds overhead.
