BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The daughter of the owner of Sweet Angels Daycare in North Tonawanda will avoid jail time after she pleaded guilty to reduced charges on Wednesday afternoon. Savannah Huntington, the daughter of daycare owner Kelly Doel, pleaded guilty in a North Tonawanda court to three counts of harassment. These were reduced charges after she was initially charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

WIVB News 4 caught up with the woman behind the class to get a glimpse of her mission to empower and protect others in Western New York. “A lot of times we walk around, especially late at night,” said Dusty Mueckl, women’s self-defense instructor with Wolves Academy of Jiu-Jitsu in Kenmore.
