WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) β An 83-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run that happened in Connecticut in November. West Hartford police said they arrested 83-year-old Sue Deffenbaugh on charges of evading responsibility and failure to exercise reasonable care near a vulnerable user on a public way. The crash happened on Nov. 8, 2024. On that day, police said they responded to an intersection for a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) β A Connecticut man was arrested after police say he posted videos of himself driving over 190 mph on a motorcycle throughout the state. Connecticut State Police identified the driver as 22-year-old Brice Bennett. Police said an anonymous complaint about the driver was made to the governorβs office on Dec. 19, 2024. Troopers said Bennettβs reckless driving was happening regularly and that he recorded videos from a camera mounted on his helmet.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) β A woman who was abducted as a child from Connecticut in 1999 has been found alive in Mexico. Officials said Andrea Michelle Reyes, now 27, was abducted from her father in New Haven in October 1999 when she was just 23 months old. Police said she was abducted from her home by Rosa Tenorio, her non-custodial parent. The New Haven Police Department announced Tuesday that Reyes has been found alive in Mexico.
