Atlanta United didn’t lose! Prepare the fireworks and streamers! Despite taking a first half lead, the Five Stripes forgot they could continue to attack and try for a second goal and fell victim to yet another blown lead at home to draw 1-1 with Nashville SC. What started out as a promising day in The Benz ended with one of the most anemic attacking showings we’ve ever seen at home. Nevertheless, it was not another loss and the losing streak is over.

Atlanta United’s worst start in franchise history continued on Saturday night with a 3-0 loss to rivals Orlando City. The match never felt close or competitive as the Five Stripes were completely outmatched for 90 minutes by a better team. Here are a couple of thoughts on possibly the darkest period in club history. We’ve tried ranting. We’ve tried metaphors. We’ve tried being positive. There is really nothing left to say other than this feels like the bottom.

Atlanta United made one move to their squad ahead of the primary transfer window shutting on Wednesday. The club announced that Xande Silva has been traded to St. Louis SC in exchange for up to $250,000 in General Allocation Money. From Atlanta United’s official press release regarding the financials and a rare player tag we know very little about: Atlanta will receive a guaranteed $100,000 in 2025 GAM, and up to $150,000 in 2026 GAM based on incentives.

Another Atlanta United match has come and gone. It’s currently 4:00 a.m. and I’ve spent the past four hours dreading having to write this article. The sad fact of the matter is, I’m out of ideas on how to approach analyzing the depths of awfulness that is the current Five Stripes form. So, I’m just going to vent here with any of you fine folks kind enough to click on this article a day after one of the worst performances in club history.

Who even let Jeff Francoeur become a baseball analyst? That’s like letting Bernie Madoff give financial advice on CNBC.

Cathartically I just want them to trade someone at this point. Like a ritualistic sacrifice for the gods. I watched Moneyball last night just to feel something

Silva not out on field either. I presume he may be traded because he didn’t make travel roster for last match and isn’t injured. #ATLUTD

If Nick Castellanos hits a homerun today his brain must be studied
