Coming into play on Saturday, Atlanta United hadn’t won an away match all season and had never won a match away to the New York Red Bulls. Neither of those things changed as the Five Stripes failed to overcome yet another early deficit and saw their two-match winning streak end with a whimper. Yet another individual defensive blunder proved costly as Atlanta were forced to play from behind just three minutes into the match and were unable to find an answer at the other end of the field.

Atlanta United have done the unthinkable by winning two soccer matches in a row. Not only have the Five Stripes put an eight-match winless streak behind them but they’ve managed to grab two straight victories and give their supporters a fun show in the process. A wild 3-2 comeback victory over rivals Orlando City on Wednesday night is the latest chapter of what has been an unpredictable story of the 2025 season.

Just thinking about the Spain-France match today. Nothing beats great international soccer at the highest level. Just the absolute best talent in the world going against each other in matchups that aren’t continuously shoved down our throats like in club soccer.
