Atlanta United didn’t lose! Prepare the fireworks and streamers! Despite taking a first half lead, the Five Stripes forgot they could continue to attack and try for a second goal and fell victim to yet another blown lead at home to draw 1-1 with Nashville SC. What started out as a promising day in The Benz ended with one of the most anemic attacking showings we’ve ever seen at home. Nevertheless, it was not another loss and the losing streak is over.

Last week, I wrote about how Atlanta United’s underlying numbers, at the very least, hadn’t completely cratered yet. Well, I owe you a quick update. After back-to-back beatdowns from Philadelphia and Orlando, this year’s team has plummeted to Worst Team In Club History territory. These numbers are obviously going to be more volatile early on in the year due to the smaller data set. A couple of terrible performances can change your status quickly.
