Tuna Sandwich, an approximately 6-week-old female kitten, was brought to the FieldHaven Feline Center by a good Samaritan after being found abandoned near a Subway restaurant (hence the name). FieldHaven has been a community partner to UC Davis for more than a decade, presenting many primary care and specialty service patients, as well as clinical trials participants.

Infrared photography can assist in identifying specific eye issues not readily visible with a regular examination or color photography. Here, the lower eyelid tumor is more defined and easily identified in the infrared image. Falcor, an 11-year-old, 412-pound white Bengal-hybrid tiger, lives a good life at the 2,300-acre Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) sanctuary in San Andreas.

Modeled after human health inpatient/outpatient facilities, the center provides advanced surgical capabilities for animals suffering from injuries or disorders of the bones and joints, while increasing case volume and training capacity.
