BYU is nearing completion of its roster and added another piece with the addition of UC Riverside transfer Nate Pickens. Pickens committed to BYU after taking a visit to campus May 1-2. The 6-foot-3 combo guard spent his first three seasons at UCR, averaging over 9 points in each of the last two seasons. This past season, Pickens averaged 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 40% shooting from the floor, 39% shooting from three, and 76% from the foul line.

Brad Penner-Imagn Images BYU basketball is heading to the world’s most famous arena. Jon Rothstein reported Monday that BYU will play Clemson in the Jimmy V Classic Tuesday, December 9. The event is held at Madison Square Garden in New York City and will be part of a double-header with UConn-Florida. Clemson was a 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament this past season and was upset round one by McNeese State. They made the Elite 8 the year prior.

Sergio Estrada-Imagn Images After his younger brother Bear committed to BYU Saturday morning, Tiger Bachmeier announced he would join his brother in Provo. Former Stanford WR Tiger Bachmeier committed to transfer to BYU on Saturday evening, he told ESPN. He joins his brother, Class of 2025 QB Bear Bachmeier, who committed early Saturday to BYU. Tiger graduated with a degree in computer science from Stanford in 2.5 years.

I'm dying. Utah was so focused on getting the word out to their media that BYU was tampering with a CB, DT, and OL and then their WR1 hits the portal hours later. I don't like the phrase rent-free but I can't think of anything else in this rivalry that describes it more.
