it’s set to be a fantastic day of sport in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday afternoon, with the O’Neill’s.com All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Final between Kilkenny and Tipperary taking centre stage. The final venue came about as a result of a home and away arrangement between the two counties, and as luck would have it, the ball has bounced in Kilkenny’s favour for a replica of the All-Ireland Minor Final from last year.

MAIN MANLee Chin (Wexford)Wexford’s main marksman was in inspired form as his 1-13 tally helped his team claim a third win in the Leinster round-robin. From a Kilkenny point of view there was good displays from the likes of TJ Reid and Cian Kenny while of the new faces on show, Thomastown’s Luke Connellan was one of the big positives as he scored two points from play.

Kilkenny's unblemished Leinster Championship campaign ran in to it's first speed bump when they fell short against a Lee Chin inspired Wexford this afternoon. Chin accounted for 1-13 of Wexford's overall tally as the home side held the aces against a Kilkenny team that were already assured of a place in next month's provincial final.

Kilkenny fought off difficult conditions to defeat Galway in some style during Saturday's Leinster Minor Hurling decider in Portlaoise. Three late goals from Cian Byrne, Ollie O'Donovan and Diarmuid Behan put some gloss on the final scoreline but Kilkenny were still very deserved winners as they advance to the All-Ireland semi-finals. The incessant wind and rain made it very difficult for the players and a sure sign of this was the fact the scoreline read 0-1 apeice halfway through the first half.

Kilkenny are Leinster minor hurling champions once again after claiming a 12-point victory over Galway in Portlaoise. Three goals inside the final 10 minutes from Cian Byrne, Ollie O’Donovan and Diarmuid Behan eventually put an end to the Galway resistance after a tough battle throughout. Galway had started brightly with a Cian Hannon goal helping them to a 1-2 to 0-3 lead nearing the end of the opening period.
