Every year, residents endure the chaos of aerial displays that defy legal restrictions, disrupting lives, terrifying pets, and endangering communities. It’s not just the fireworks. They don’t call it “fireworks” for nothing. The terrifying booms coming from the bowels of Palolo Valley surely engender PTSD in many of those who experienced combat. Despite these obvious harms, enforcement has been woefully inadequate.
