Amazon reported lower than expected first-quarter cloud revenue growth and forecast operating income below estimates, disappointing investors. Shares in the world's largest online retailer fell by as much as 5 per cent at one point in after-hours trading on Thursday night after Amazon Web Services, the company's cloud unit, showed signs of weakness. Its 16.9 per cent increase in quarterly revenue, to $29.27 billion, missed expectations of 17.4 per cent growth and $30.9 billion in sales.
