Redshirt freshman Max Granville was one of the players on Penn State Football’s 2025 roster that I was most excited to see this fall. The former four-star defensive end from Sugar Land, Texas reclassified into the 2024 class and enrolled a full year early at Penn State ahead of last season. While keeping his redshirt intact in 2024, Granville played in three regular-season games and all four postseason games for the Nittany Lions.

Penn State Football head coach James Franklin met with the media Thursday during a press conference ahead of the summer for the Nittany Lions. In his appearance, Franklin provided health updates on a few key Penn State players ahead of the summer. Franklin announced that three players who missed spring practice, tight end Andrew Rappleyea, offensive tackle Anthony Donkoh, and linebacker Tony Rojas, were all expected to be “fully cleared” medically ahead of the Nittany Lions fall camp.
