Last season, Green Bay Packers wide receivers were among the league leaders in one of the worst categories of which to be atop: drops. Jayden Reed had nine drops and a drop percentage of 12.0%. Dontayvion Wicks also had nine drops and a drop percentage of 11.8%. Romeo Doubs, who played in four few games than both Reed and Wicks, had seven drops and a drop percentage of 9.7%.

The Green Bay Packers have started the voluntary portion of their organized team activities (OTA’s) ahead of the 2025 NFL season. While these practices are not mandatory, many veterans join the rookies and 53-man roster hopefuls to begin preparations for the upcoming year. Some, such as wide receiver Christian Watson, are present even though their rehab from injuries will not allow them to take the field at the start of the season.

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre is one of the most polarizing figures in the history of the franchise. Once beloved for leading the Packers back to Super Bowl glory, Favre saw many fans turn on him when he retired after a year with the New York Jets only to unretire and sign with the Minnesota Vikings. It is not uncommon, though, for great players and fan-favorites to find themselves playing for different teams towards the end of their NFL careers.

The Green Bay Packers started OTA’s on Tuesday, with most of their roster reporting to camp despite the voluntary nature of the program. Not present was two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander. However, a recent report stated that Alexander does, indeed, want to remain in Green Bay and that the Packers have extended him a contract restructure. And while he has not agreed to the restructure, he will report to the team for mandatory minicamp in a couple of weeks.
