WAYNE COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - It is an epic hike of Olympic proportions, and it is right here in the Heartland. The Ozark’s Mountain Challenge is to walk to the top of Mudlick Mountain - 9 times in 12 hours on Saturday, May 4. Mudlick Mountain is located in the Sam A Baker State Park in Wayne County, Missouri, which is near Patterson. It’s 90 minutes west of Cape Girardeau and about an hour north of Poplar Bluff. The path to the top is a fire road that leads to a fire lookout station.
