HEPPNER — The Mustangs scored the game’s first 24 points, amassed nearly 500 yards of offense and shook off last week’s home loss to open Blue Mountain Conference play with a 52-14 victory over Irrigon. “We felt good about this,” Heppner head coach Greg Grant said of the win. “Irrigon is not a bad team. But he was also remembered by colleagues, former players and family for being compassionate, kind, always upbeat and finding the best in others.
