On Sunday, September 8th, the ever anticipated Top of Coom race took place, serving as the conclusion of the IMRA Munster Fog in the Bog league. Known for its challenging course, the 11km race, with an elevation gain of 350m, delivered exactly what the league's name promises: plenty of fog and bog. As one of the favourite courses in the calendar, Top of Coom didn’t disappoint the eager participants.

Galway Trail Running Athletic Club (GTR AC) has officially announced the launch of its first Backyard Ultra event, set to take place on November 16th, 2024, in the scenic Kilcornan Woods. With a cap of 100 participants, the event has already generated significant interest, with only 30 tickets remaining after just one week of registration being open. The Backyard Ultra will kick off at 12pm on Saturday, November 16th, and the response has exceeded expectations.
