Italian utility Enel is due to boost its net installed consolidated capacity in the US by 285MW through a swap agreement its North American subsidiary signed with Gulf Pacific Power. The deal is due to see Enel Green Power North America increase its indirect equity stake in corporate vehicles owning wind farms, bringing the stake to 51%. In return, Gulf Pacific Power will receive stakes in other corporate vehicles owning wind farms, plus $50 million cash.
