Israel has proposed a deal which would offer safe passage to Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in return for the release of all the remaining hostages according to an Israeli official. Speaking to Bloomberg, Israel’s Coordinator for Hostages and the Missing Gal Hirsch said Israel had already offered the possibility of giving Sinwar safe passage out of Gaza.

John’s first interaction with the mental health charity Jami was at its Head Room Café in Golders Green, north-west London, two years ago. Speaking on World Suicide Prevention Day, the former City worker told the JC: “It changed my life going there. It sounds corny to say it, but it felt familiar, and it felt like home at a time where I felt alone.” He visited the cafe on the advice of his friend after he had attempted suicide.

Joel Friedman was not expecting his otherwise ordinary sunny Shabbat in June to be immortalised forever online, particularly given he is from a Strictly Orthodox community on Canvey island, and doesn’t use technology on Shabbat. Nevertheless, it was. His stroll to shul, alongside other typical Shabbat scenes, was captured in June of this year when a Google Street View car made its way through Canvey Island, in Essex, capturing everyday life for its global mapping service.
