Update: RCMP just posted that residents are no longer required to shelter in place and can expect to see a continued police presence while the investigation is continuing.

RCMP posted: Bay Roberts RCMP responding to an event involving an unknown man walking with a firearm in the area of Mint Cove Pond Road in Spaniard’s Bay. Residents are asked to shelter in place & the public is asked to avoid the area. Update to follow.

Ibrahim Hussein -- the 19-year-old suspected of shooting a 33-year-old to death on Watson Crescent in St. John's Tuesday -- has been arrested. He was picked up by police at the Port aux Basques ferry terminal. @NTVNewsNL
