There are few details available about an incident that sent one man to hospital early Saturday morning. Shortly after 6:30 a.m. emergency crews were called to a portion of Bay Bulls Road in Kilbride. Reports from the scene indicated that a man was found lying in the roadway, an electric scooter laying on the ground nearby. The individual was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. At the time it was unknown if the man fell off the scooter or if another vehicle was involved.

The driver of a car that crashed on the Outer Ring Road late Monday night reportedly suffered no serious injuries, but is now facing charges. Emergency crews were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway, between Topsail Road and Thorburn Road, shortly before midnight. The driver of a car lost control, veering off the roadway, and striking a guardrail. The impact broke about a dozen guardrail posts from the ground, however the vehicle never went down the nearby embankment.

There are some areas of fog from Goobies through to Whitbourne, otherwise, across the province, it’s good driving conditions with dry roads and good visibility. The MV Beaumont Hamel is currently taking fuel so the 7:30 a.m. crossing will be delayed. Other ferries are operating on schedule. At the St. John’s International Airport, WestJet Flight 59 is delayed and Air Canada Flight 1521 is delayed. In Deer Lake, Air Canada Flight 2583 is cancelled.
