An alleged American hit-woman today pleaded not guilty to three charges, including conspiracy to murder. Aimee Jean Betro appeared before Birmingham Crown Court by video-link from New Hall prison in Wakefield where she has been held since January. After her plea, the 45-year-old was told by Judge Smith KC that she would face a four-week trial starting on July 21 this year.

A MOTORS enthusiast has claimed he was conned by a TikTok star after buying a supercar that had been stripped of parts. Antonio Montanino purchased the Lamborghini Murciélago off celebrity mechanic Mat Armstrong. Antonio, 33, from Bedfordshire, agreed a fee with the influencer for the car - which an employee of Armstrong's told the Sun was £30,000 - before he says the star reneged on some of the deal.

Fly-tippers left residents of a hamlet cut off on Monday after 100 tonnes of rubbish were dumped overnight on the only access road to homes and businesses. The ten-foot-high mound of rotting waste was left in a country lane running to around a dozen homes in Curborough, near Lichfield in Staffordshire.
