KEARNEY — KPS 5th Grader, Rowan Miller, is in the state’s top ten finalists of the 5th Grade Essay Contest “What My Mother Means to Me.”Each year American Mothers, Inc.®, a non-profit organization that has honored outstanding mothers across the United States since 1935, conducts a 5th-grade essay contest. Rowan is one of ten Nebraska students to be honored at a ceremony in March at the Werner Chamber in Lincoln.

KALONAThe Hillcrest FFA chapter has been considerably busy this Fall. On Sept. 26, 2023, members of the FFA were sent to the Southeast District Soil Judging competition in Muscatine. Participants entered a pit to examine the soil and from that they were able to determine the quality of the soil. Another contest members participated in was livestock judging at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Livestock included pigs, goats, sheep, and cows.

A judge has renewed a court injunction barring Wolastosqi land defenders from interfering with the activities of Northcliff Resources at the proposed Sisson molybdenum and tungsten mine near Napadogan. The Sisson mine project has been proposed since 2008. Since 2017, Wolastosqi land defenders have maintained a camp at the proposed tailings dam site, which is the traditional hunting territory of the Wolastoqi.

AbstractAll antibodies approved for cancer therapy are monoclonal IgGs but the biology of IgE, supported by comparative preclinical data, offers the potential for enhanced effector cell potency. Here we report a Phase I dose escalation trial (NCT02546921) with the primary objective of exploring the safety and tolerability of MOv18 IgE, a chimeric first-in-class IgE antibody, in patients with tumours expressing the relevant antigen, folate receptor-alpha.
