Here we look back at one of Stockton's missed nightclubs - the Millennium - complete with funfair and giant God faces above the dance floor that would blow smoke over party-goers. A nightclub and a funfair might sound too good to be true now, but back in the nineties Stockton had exactly that with the Millennium. Although the nightclub was open for just five years between 1996 and 2002 it holds a lot of memories for those who were lucky enough to go.

The Middlesbrough nightclub went down in history for being the go-to venue for those who loved all things alternative and the occasional mosh pit. We went through our archives to find these 22 fantastic photos of Stockton High Street though the decades. They're brimming with nostalgia and are bound to bring back wonderful memories for many. The photos were taken between 1960 and 2000. Yesterday we looked at the changing face of Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough over 30 years. There are a number of lost shops in the photos from Winpenny's in the 80s to Wots in Store in 1999.
