Lanthanide-based metallogels with tunable luminescence: Nanomolar detection of a nerve agent simulant and anticounterfeiting applications This work presents two lanthanide-based metallogels, L1-Eu and L1-Tb, fabricated by coordination-driven self-assembly of an amide-based ligand containing a long alkyl chain (L1). The self-assembly of metallogels was investigated with the help of FTIR and NMR spectral, crystallographic, rheological, morphological, and molecular docking studies.

Measles, a highly contagious viral infection formally considered eliminated from Canada in 1998, is making a surprising comeback, challenging our public health systems and communities at large. The rising numbers of measles cases are a concern as they represent real people and real risks.

Visible Light Mediated Photocatalysis by Lanthanide Metal-Organic Frameworks: Enhanced Specificity and Mechanistic Insights Utilization of earth-abundant photosensitizers with visible light absorption to enable sustainable photocatalysis is a long-standing challenge. Fulfilling such a challenge, in this work, two lanthanide (Ln3+ = Tb, Eu) based metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) have been synthesized utilizing a Co3+-based metalloligand.
