We analyzed data from 71 consecutive adult patients with a rheumatological diagnosis and who underwent hand-MRI and OST for suspected inflammatory activity, clinically defined as tenderness and/or synovial swelling of at least one finger and/or wrist joint while presenting in a tertiary rheumatology clinic. Patients with a RAMRIS synovitis score of at least 1 in one joint were considered (MRI+), while patients without any joint synovitis (MRI-) served as an intrinsic control group.

AbstractSpondylodiscitis presents a significant diagnostic and treatment challenge to healthcare providers, with various risk factors and treatment outcomes having been identified. Malnutrition, a multifactorial condition defined by imbalance or deficiency of nutrients, is a known risk factor for various adverse events such as postoperative infection and readmissions in spine surgery. However, its impact in SD has not yet been explored.

Evaluate guselkumab efficacy, an anti-interleukin-23p19-subunit antibody, in patients with active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and inadequate response to 1–2 tumour necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi-IR), utilizing composite indices assessing disease activity across disease domains. In the Phase IIIb COSMOS trial, 285 adults with TNFi-IR PsA were randomized (2:1) to receive guselkumab 100 mg or placebo at Week (W)0, W4, then every 8 weeks through W44.

The present retrospective study was approved by the institutional review board (Nr. 145/21, Ethics Committee, Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, Magdeburg, Germany). The study was performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Informed consent was waived due to the retrospective design. For this study, the clinical database was screened for cases with APE in the time-period between 2015 and 2021.
