1 Introduction Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) belongs to Orthoflavivirus genus, Flaviviridae family. The virus is a minus- strand RNA virus with a spherical particle and envelope protein on its surface. TBEV is transmitted primarily through the bite of the infected tick, the peak period of tick activity is from April to November each year, so TBEV generally spread in spring [1]. After tick biting, the virus can replicate under the skin of the patient.
