The National Park Service said it is leading an investigation into the death of a man at Acadia National Park in Maine. Acadia National Park dispatch received a 911 call at about 4 p.m. Monday reporting an unresponsive man outside of his vehicle, which was parked in a pullout on Schoodic Loop Road, south of Frazer Point in Winter Harbor, according to the Acadia Superintendent's Office.

The Auburn Fire Department said nearly a dozen other Maine departments provided mutual aid as crews worked to contain a fire at a mulch supply company located near the Auburn-Lewiston Airport. Fire officials said crews were first dispatched to the airport at 8:50 a.m. Sunday for a report of heavy smoke, which was immediately followed by a fire alarm in the area of MB Bark, which is located off Hardscrabble Road. MB Bark is less than a mile from the Auburn-Lewiston Airport.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland announced that Bishop James Ruggieri will celebrate a special Mass this week in honor of Pope Francis, who died Monday at the age of 88. According to the diocese, Ruggieri will celebrate the Mass for the repose of Pope Francis' soul at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. Francis, who suffered from chronic lung disease and had part of one lung removed as a young man, was admitted to Gemelli hospital on Feb.
