12 By Bill Franques, LSU Senior Associate Communications Director BATON ROUGE — Shortstop Steven Milam and rightfielder Jake Brown each drove in four runs Sunday night to lead LSU to a 12-5 win over West Virginia in Game 2 of the NCAA Super Regional at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. The victory secured a berth in the College World Series for LSU, which will participate in the CWS for the 20th time in its illustrious baseball history, and for the second time in three seasons.

29 The LSU Tigers open the best-of-three Baton Rouge Super Regional against West Virginia Saturday at 1 p.m. at Skip Bertman Field, Alex Box Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday at 5 (ESPN2). Game 3, if necessary, is scheduled for Monday. LSU is looking for its 10th Super Regional title. The last came in 2023. The Tigers went on to win the College World Series.

26 By Stephen Featherston, Louisiana Tech Director of Strategic Communications The National Football Foundation announced the names on the 2026 Ballot under consideration for induction into the NFF College Football Hall of Fame and Louisiana Tech has three former Bulldogs on the list. Former head coaching legend Maxie Lambright and LA Tech Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan return to the ballot, while former wide receiver Troy Edwards is on the ballot for the first time.

8 Glenbrook’s Easton Sanders and Doyline’s Landon (Noah) Spears have been named All-State by the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association. Sanders and Spears recently completed outstanding high school careers. A pitcher and infielder, Sanders made the Division IV team at utility. The Louisiana Tech signee batted .420 with 10 doubles, five home runs and 24 RBI. Pitching mainly against the Apaches’ toughest competition, Sanders was 6-2 with a ERA of 1.898 and 90 strikeouts.
