    Shrewsbury Town have made Tom Sang their third signing of the week and fifth of the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old - who can play in midfield and at wing-back - has agreed a two-year deal at the Croud Meadow after helping Port Vale secure promotion to League One last season. Sang came through the youth ranks at Manchester United and follows Sam Stubbs and Will Boyle through the doors at the Croud Meadow this week.

    Stourbridge have moved quickly to replace departed manager Liam McDonald by appointing academy boss Darryl Knights to the top job. McDonald jumped ship at the weekend after talks with the club amid uncertainty over their ground and finances. The former Hednesford Town, Solihull Moors and Rushall Olympic boss had been in charge for 13 months and led the Glassboys to finish of ninth in the Southern Premier Central.

    Gareth Ainsworth has walked out of Shrewsbury Town to take over at League Two Gillingham, according to reports. Rumours that Ainsworth could be on his way out surfaced last week with reports that he had been spotted in the Kent town. The Gills are currently 19th in League Two but were taken over by US businessman Brad Galinson in December 2022. He leaves the Croud Meadow with Shrews marooned at the bottom of League One with 28 points from 37 games.

The horse was subject of a mammoth £600,000 transfer fee in February 2024 with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson also amongst the seven-year-old's group of owners.
