(Opinion) Former billionaire Bill Hwang, dubbed “Wall Street’s Most Famous Evangelical” by Christianity Today, was sentenced to 18 years in prison last month for massive fraud and manipulation that led to an estimated $10 billion in losses for several Wall Street banks. A well-known figure in Christian circles due largely to his philanthropic efforts, Hwang’s trial was followed closely by many who had been recipients of his charitable works through the years.

Zacharias was honored alongside past NDOP Honorary Chairpersons and addressed a gathering of influential pastors and leaders at the Museum of the Bible on Wednesday evening, May 2, in preparation for the official National Day of Prayer Observance on Thursday, May 3.
