'Beast of Birkenhead' Peter Sullivan - who has served nearly 40 years in prison over the murder of a bride-to-be - will be set free after having his conviction quashed by the Court of Appeal. The 68-year-old was found guilty of the 1986 murder of 21-year-old Diane Sindall in Bebington, Merseyside, in 1987, but has remained in prison despite being sentenced to life with a minimum term of 16 years.
