INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Multiple rounds of showers and storms are ahead starting Wednesday. Before that, we’ll work in another warm and hazy day with increasing humidity. Tuesday night: Partly cloudy and hazy due to Canadian wildfire smoke. Low temperatures near 70 degrees. Wednesday: Hazy skies to start with humid air. Wildfire smoke will still mainly be elevated from the surface. Clouds increase in the afternoon.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The first week of June is about to undergo our next active pattern that kickstarts after a hot and dry Tuesday. This upcoming pattern shift may feature several rounds of rainfall. Monday night: Partly cloudy and dry with lows in the upper 50s. Tuesday: We could have our warmest day of 2025 on Tuesday under partly cloudy skies and breezy winds. Winds look to gust up to 25-30 MPH at times. Humidity values will also return to the uncomfortable side. Highs in the upper 80s.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The northern lights are possible in Indiana and many spots in the mid-latitudes tonight!A G4 watch is out from the Space Weather Prediction Center, and they are forecasting a peak KP around 8 Sunday night. The level of geomagnetic activity is indicated by the planetary K index or KP. The KP index ranges from 0 to 9, with a high KP translating to the northern lights being seen the furthest south.

A hint of Canadian wildfire smoke in the upper levels of our atmosphere remains. High temperatures in the mid-70s. TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies. However, wildfire smoke starts to increase above us. There is a chance to see the northern lights with a G4 watch out from the Space Weather Prediction Center.

Canadian wildfire smoke is drifting through the area today. TODAY: Spot sprinkles pre-daybreak will exit the area. Smoke is elevated in our atmosphere, for the most part. Skies will be hazy today, especially in the morning hours. Make sure to send any colorful sunrise/sunset pictures to Storm Track 8.
