WIIH-CD is a low-powered, Class A television station that broadcasts on virtual channel 17 and VHF digital channel 8 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. This station is affiliated with getTV and is owned by Circle City Broadcasting. It is part of a family of stations that includes WISH-TV, a CW affiliate on channel 8, and WNDY-TV, a MyNetworkTV affiliate on channel 23, both of which are also licensed in Indianapolis and Marion. WIIH-CD shares its studios with its sister stations on North Meridian Street, situated in the northern part of the Television Row area in Indianapolis. The transmitter for WIIH-CD is located on Walnut Drive in the Augusta neighborhood, which is on the northwest side of the city, close to Meridian Hills.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Community leaders on Thursday cut the ribbon on improvements made at Fletcher Place Community Center. It’s one of four legacy projects from the WNBA All-Star Host Committee. Fletcher Place officials completed a number of enhancements with the grant from the WNBA All-Star Host Committee, including kitchen upgrades, playground improvements, and additions to the community garden. The WNBA All-Star Host Committee granted $1 million worth of upgrades to four local nonprofits.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Azura Stevens scored 23 points, Kelsey Plum had 21 points and six assists, and the Los Angeles Sparks ended a four-game losing streak by beating the short-handed Indiana Fever 85-75 on Thursday night. Indiana played without Caitlin Clark due to a groin injury. Clark had recently returned from a quad injury that kept her sidelined for five games. She returned on June 14 and scored 32 points to help the Fever to a 102-88 victory against the Liberty.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle and former Pike High School football star Michael Jerrell announced his first annual Community Fun Day on Thursday. The event will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pike High School. A welcome table will open as early as 9 a.m., followed by a picture and autograph session with Mike. As a senior on the Pike football team, Jerrell earned All-Indiana and All-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference honors playing offensive tackle.

The court features all WNBA team logos, and is designed in the Indiana Fever colors. “We see this as a service to our community,” said Megan Carrico, senior director of public affairs for Indianapolis Airport Authority.
