DALLAS — Six Dallas firefighters were taken to a hospital after a chemical explosion at a house fire Friday, sources told WFAA. Numerous Dallas Fire-Rescue crews were dispatched to a home in the 3500 block of Durango Drive, north of Love Field, around 11:30 a.m. Friday. Helicopter footage from the scene showed a badly damaged home and yard with smoke lingering from the home. The injured firefighters were taken to a hospital for treatment but were said to be in stable condition, sources said.

DALLAS — Youth golfers in North Texas can score a deal, thanks in part to Bank of America: $5 rounds, or less, at select golf courses across the Metroplex for a full year. Bank of America launched a new "Golf With Us" initiative through a partnership with Youth On Course, giving kids ages 6-18 a chance to play 13 North Texas courses for $5 or less. Kids can join the program for free, as long as they sign up by May 24.

DALLAS — A 22-year-old was fatally shot in Dallas on Thursday night, police said. Officers responded around 7:25 p.m. to the 4800 block of Elsie Faye Heggins Street in South Dallas, where a victim, Yantese Chappell, was found shot, according to a police news release. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded, but Chappell died at the scene, police said. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact police detective J.
