    Fire crews rushed to a serious blaze at a refuse site in Crewe, with the incident being treated as an act of arson. On Wednesday 25 June, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Maw Green Landfill Site, Maw Green Road. At 7.07pm, two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering plastic piping well-alight. The blaze, measuring six metres by three metres, was put out by Crewe firefighters using a hose reel jet.

    Crewe's free family-friendly Picnic in the Park live music festival returned to Queens Park on Saturday 21 June, drawing in around 7,000 visitors. Crewe Town Council, with the help and support of the Friends of Queens Park, brought Picnic in the Park back to Crewe for the fourth time, running from 12pm to 6pm. The event was host to live performances from local talent including Crewe Brass, Shakermaker, Acrylic, Vavoom and Teal, who rocked the park and got the crowd up and dancing in the sunshine.

    Around £5,000 worth of illegal vapes were seized in Crewe with five shops fined, as part of Cheshire Police's Operation Crossbow across the county on Monday 23 June. Operation Crossbow came as part of efforts to disrupt criminality across the East of Cheshire, including Crewe, Alsager, Macclesfield, Sandbach, Congleton, Knutsford and Wilmslow.
