Rafael Devers has finally joined his new team after the Boston Red Sox traded him to the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. The three-time All-Star was all smiles as he arrived at Oracle Park, his new home ballpark. Devers arrived in San Francisco to a big welcome. The Giants had him walk into the stadium to smoke machines going off with the people in attendance cheering him on. One photo that captured him waving with a big smile is below. Shohei Ohtani was back on the pitching mound Monday night, that in itself should be a win for the Los Angeles Dodgers. But his first time stepping on the mound in Dodger Blue wasn't a smooth one. The San Diego Padres touched up Ohtani for a run in his only inning of work. Fernando Tatis Jr. led off with a bloop single, then a wild pitch advanced him to second base. Luis Arraez followed with a line drive single and Manny Machado brought Tatis home with a sacrifice fly.

The baseball world was shocked on Sunday when the Boston Red Sox traded Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants. It also led to an awkward opening to ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball. Karl Ravech opened the broadcast announcing the blockbuster trade. Part of the package going to Boston in exchange for Devers included starting pitcher Kyle Harrison, who happened to be scheduled to take the mound for San Francisco's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Obviously, those plans were nixed.
