CONCORD, N.C. - It's said that a picture is worth 1,000 words. Well, this piece is worth $60,000. Or at least it was. Welcome to the weekly artifact of the week segment where we - and by, 'we', we mean Hendrick Motorsports archivist, Sam Ulrich - go digging through boxes and crates looking for the coolest, weirdest and unique trinkets from our great history. CONCORD, N.C. - While it's not in the Southeast, NASCAR has stopped at Michigan International Speedway every year since 1969 (with the exception of 1973). Obviously, a classic venue calls for some classic paint schemes. That's what Hendrick Motorsports will bring with it this weekend when the Cup Series takes to the Irish Hills. Kyle Larson, a three-time winner at Michigan, will run his primary, HendrickCars.com scheme. Alex Bowman, too, will go with his classic, Ally look on the No. 48 Chevrolet.

5 9 24 48 1 minutes ago CONCORD, N.C. - Kyle Larson visited victory lane three times in the NASCAR Cup Series at Michigan International Speedway prior to joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2021. But he's hardly been a slouch at the 2-mile, D-shaped oval since, either. Larson enters this week with four finishes inside the top seven in his last five starts at Michigan with three of those coming since taking over behind the wheel of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet.

Yeah Jeter may not even be a top 5 shortstop ever…

It’s crazy because every person in this picture has some argument. You don’t have to agree, but there is an honest argument to be made for each one of them. Except for Jeter. Not even close.
