Tennessee baseball’s midweek matchup against Belmont is in a weather delay at Lindsey Nelson Stadium due to lightning in the area. The game went into a delay at 5:48 p.m. ET in the bottom of the second inning. There’s was no rain at the stadium at the time of the delay but rain showers are projected on-and-off for the next few hours. Tennessee leads 5-0 in the bottom of the second inning thanks to home runs from Andrew Fischer and Hunter Ensley in the bottom of the second inning.

Tennessee basketball officially announced the hiring of veteran assistant coach Steve McClain on Tuesday morning. McClain comes to Tennessee after spending the last three years on Rodney Terry’s staff at Texas and brings multiple stints of head coaching experience to Tennessee. “I want to thank coach Barnes for the opportunity to join such a fantastic basketball program,” McClain said in a statement.
