Tennessee football commit Gabriel Osenda jumped up the recruiting rankings in the latest update from 247Sports on Wednesday. 247Sports now has the 2026 offensive tackle as a five-star prospect, the No. 19 player in the class, the No. 4 offensive tackle, and the No. 2 player from the Volunteer State. Osenda was previously listed as a four-star prospect and the No. 70 overall prospect in 247’s rankings on Mar. 7, 2025, but was listed as low as No. 407 overall before the March update.

Just one day after finding out the time and TV broadcast for Tennessee football’s season opener against Syracuse, we now have some more scheduling notes courtesy of an announcement from Tennessee Athletics. Tennessee revealed the games that will serve as Homecoming, Champions Weekend, Senior Day, and Checker Neyland during the 2025 slate. The Vols will host their Checker Neyland game against Georgia in the third week of the season on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Former Tennessee guard Chaz Lanier shot the lights out during NBA Combine workouts on Tuesday afternoon in Chicago. Lanier, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from North Florida and Tennessee, earned an invitation to the combine after showing off his shooting skills in SEC play with the Vols last year. On Tuesday, he had the chance to do it right in front of NBA scouts and executives.
