SAN ANTONIO — If you can stay up late Thursday night, be sure to look at the moon! A full moon will light up the night sky at night. Then, just a few hours later, a total lunar eclipse will occur! A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth falls in between the sun and moon relative to their positions in space. This results in a shadow being casted onto the moon's surface. This leads to a reddish color creating a total lunar eclipse. Again, this will happen LATE while most are asleep.
