GREEN BAY – As the Green Bay Packers enter the on-field portion of their offseason program, they will carry four quarterbacks on their roster. The Packers signed Taylor Elgersma, filling out their depth chart behind Jordan Love, Malik Willis and Sean Clifford, a source confirmed to PackersNews. Elgersma, a native of London, Ontario, had a tryout with the Packers during rookie orientation.

GREEN BAY – Every player starts from the same place this time of year. The basics. Which for Green Bay Packers rookie receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams meant spending 30 minutes during Saturday’s rookie orientation breaking down their routes. There was passing game coordinator Jason Vrable teaching Golden how to set his stance, the proper footwork, when to break his routes. There was receivers coach Ryan Mahaffey showing Williams how to release from the line of scrimmage.

GREEN BAY – In a walkthrough that lasted a little more than one hour, the Green Bay Packers opened their Don Hutson Center doors for a first glimpse at their rookie draft class Saturday morning. The Packers had 38 players in attendance, including 11 for tryout. This wasn’t a football practice so much as rookie orientation – with a heavy emphasis on orientation. Coach Matt LaFleur structured the hour-plus into three primary phases: warmup, a 30-minute individual drill, and cool down.

GREEN BAY – It took the Green Bay Packers only a few days following the NFL draft to move onto their next order of business. The Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on Devonte Wyatt’s rookie contract, a source confirmed to PackersNews. Wyatt was the 28th overall pick in 2022, making his fifth-year option available. The deal keeps Wyatt with the Packers through the 2026 season, paying him $12.9 million that year. Fox Sports was first to report Wyatt’s fifth-year option being exercised.
