Tackling a live-action reimagining of Disney’s first feature film— and the first ever animated full-length feature— is no easy feat. Still, Marc Webb’s spin on the animated classic delivers on many fronts. While it’s a magically mixed bag, most of it works wonderfully. I can’t sing enough praises (pun intended) for Rachel Zegler as Snow White! She was a fantastic choice for our princess, carrying the weight of her fractured strength and boundless bravery with poise.

2025 is a big year for Marvel Studios. Whether it’s a theatrical release, a new animated series, or a show on Disney+, there’s something for all Marvel fans this year. In 2025, things kick off with Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man. The new animated series will surely have viewers on the edge of their seats and has already received praise from those lucky enough to watch it early.

Popes and strippers and witches, oh my! This year’s awards season has been unpredictable, with several upsets and exciting winners across critics groups and guilds. It all comes down to one of my favorite nights a year- the Oscars. This morning, Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott announced the upcoming 97th Academy Awards nominees! Emilia Perez leads with 13 nominations, followed by The Brutalist and Wicked with 10 nominations each.

Created by our friend Nigerian-American multi-hyphenate Cheyenne Ewulu, aka CheyenneTheGeek, this innovative series is launching its Kickstarter campaign on November 12th, 2024, with a funding goal of $160,000.

Scott is a fascinating filmmaker with a stacked body of work, tackling various genres and subjects from an interesting tonal and visual perspective. His filmography is vast and unique, with almost every entry bearing unique traits compared to the last. In the last few years, love or hate them, he’s given us The Last Duel, House of Gucci, and Napoleon.

I am a night owl, so it’s normal for me to stay up until 3 AM working, watching a movie or playing video games. I am also a fan of concerts and live music. Still, it was highly unusual of me to drive into downtown Hollywood at 10 PM, stand in line outside of an establishment called Club Bar Sinister and mill around a stage for a concert that didn’t start until 11:30 PM, when many sensible almost-30-year-olds would be at home.

Following the commercial and, surprisingly, critical success of Smile, writer-director Parker Finn continues the saga right where we left off in Smile 2. Smile 2 opens with Joel (Kyle Gallner), who we last saw getting the curse passed to him, nearing the end and trying to use a loophole introduced in the first film to escape the curse. He plans to murder one half of a criminal sibling duo in front of the other, thus passing it off to less innocent parties.

The film stars Hunter Schafer in her first lead role as Gretchen, a 17-year-old who moves in with her father, stepmother, and half-sister after losing her mother. She leaves America for the German Alps, where her father and stepmother are hired to do designing for a resort they had worked on with the owner, Herr König (Dan Stevens).
