St Stephen and All Martyrs Church Celebrations to mark the 180th anniversary of a church will take place this weekend. Everyone is invited to St Stephen and All Martyrs Church on Radcliffe Road, Darcy Lever celebration service at 3pm on Sunday, June 22, which will be followed by light refreshments. St Stephen and All Martyrs’ Church is the first of Edmund Sharpe's three famous 'pot' –or terracotta – churches.

Halliwell Road Post Office will move to Claremont House on 263 Halliwell Road, where there will also be a convenience store in the refurbished space, with the Post Office providing extra hours of service. The current postmaster has resigned and the premises at 450 Halliwell Road are to be withdrawn for Post Office use. Plans are now being finalised for the move and will be announced in the near future.
