United States (US) President Donald Trump’s administration is reportedly set to accept a super-luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar, according to ABC News. Valued at approximately USD 400 million, the aircraft has been described as the most valuable gift ever offered to a US president by a foreign government. Dubbed a “flying palace,” the jet is expected to be officially unveiled this week during Trump’s visit to Qatar.

Saudi Aramco, the largest oil company in the world, on Sunday, May 11, reported a 4.6 percent decline in its net profit for the first quarter of 2025, totalling SAR 97.54 billion (USD 26.01 billion), down from SAR 102.27 billion (USD 27.27 billion) in the same period last year. In a statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), the company attributed the decline to lower revenue and sales-related income, combined with increased operating costs.

Gaza Strip: Israeli strikes overnight and into Sunday killed 11 people in the Gaza Strip, mostly women and children, according to local health officials. Two of the strikes hit tents in the southern city of Khan Younis, each killing two children and their parents. Other strikes killed a child and a man riding a bicycle, according to Nasser Hospital, which received the bodies. In northern Gaza, an Israeli strike killed a 16-year-old boy, according to the Indonesian Hospital.
