    Pets are cherished family members, and yet, according to research from pet car safety specialist Tavo, many of us are poorly informed about how to keep them secure in a car. Tavo estimates that eight million dogs are being put at risk on the UK’s roads, with less than half of motorists who travel with dogs having researched the official pet safety guidelines in the Highway Code, and as many as 59 per cent of motorists admitting that they do not restrain their dog in their car.
