Emergency teams are again working to restore power and water supplies across the country on Wednesday in the aftermath of Storm Éowyn. Around 142,000 homes, farms, and businesses are still in the dark, as electricity in the worst affected areas may not be restored until the middle of next week. Emergency crews, including some from abroad, are working to repair the "unprecedented damage" caused to the electricity infrastructure last week.

MMA fighter Conor McGregor has deleted CCTV footage relating to a civil case against him, according to a court document. At a High Court trial, Nikita Hand won her claim for damages against Mr McGregor after accusing the mixed martial arts fighter of raping her in December 2018. Last week, Mr McGregor was ordered not to share CCTV footage relating to the case. According to the , a document filed in court now says Mr McGregor has deleted copies of the footage.

Three people have been arrested in connection with a serious assault that occurred in Co Monaghan. The incident occurred on Park Road on Tuesday night. Two men and one woman, all aged in their 20s, were arrested on Wednesday. They are all currently being held at Garda stations in the county under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Gardaí are now appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
