According to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network Advisory Board of the United States, precursors are chemicals used to synthesize drugs.

    An is a non-invasive exam that records electrical activity in the brain. Brain cells communicate through electrical impulses. An EEG records the brain’s electrical behavior, which can then be used to detect any abnormalities in the brain that may result from brain tumors, disease, injuries, etc. It is often used to diagnose sleep disorders, epilepsy, and brain injuries. The exam uses small metal discs called electrodes that are attached to the scalp using a wet gel.

    With the holiday season approaching, the Carnegie Mellon University Police Department (CMUPD) once again hosted its annual holiday toy drive. From Nov. 21 through Dec. 9, CMUPD collected new, unwrapped toys for kids at various drop-off locations throughout the Carnegie Mellon campus. This year’s toy drive will serve families in the Pittsburgh’s Hazelwood neighborhood. The Tartan spoke to Mark Villasenor, a university police sergeant, to learn more about CMUPD’s annual toy drive.

    For the first time in over 15 years, Carnegie Mellon’s student government is planning to change the Joint Funding Committee (JFC) budget allocation process and the timeline by which the Committee on Student Organizations (CoSO) re-recognizes student organizations. These changes aim to facilitate the JFC budget request process for student organization officers. The adjustments were voted on unanimously by the Undergraduate Student Senate on Nov.
