Riley was struck Sunday by a 97 mph fastball from Los Angeles Angels starter Jack Kochanowicz in the first inning of Atlanta’s 3-1 victory. An MRI confirmed the fracture. Riley will miss six to eight weeks, which knocks him out through the regular season and likely into the playoffs should the Braves qualify.

Injuries have obviously played a part in that, and he will almost certainly find the rhythm with his swing again, but this has been tough timing for a cold stretch for fantasy managers.

His 1.80 ERA jumps to 4.39, and he’ll have a tough matchup Wednesday against the Dodgers.
