    The Kilkenny Choir, a mixed voice choir of over 100 members, is looking forward to holding its annual spring concert on Saturday, May 3 at 7pm in St Canice’s Cathedral, Dean Street, Kilkenny. The choir is conducted by Patrick Rafter, and this year’s musical selection includes excerpts from some of the finest choral repertoire, including works from Mozart, Brahms, Barber, Orff, Vivaldi and Jenkins.

    Seven projects in Kilkenny have been awarded funding totalling €500,000 under this year's Community Monuments Fund. Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage James Browne  and Minister of State for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity Christopher O’Sullivan have announced the 122 projects that will be awarded nationally. The grants help owners and custodians of archaeological monuments safeguard them into the future.

    The weather gods smiled on the 2025 Kilkenny Duathlon, organised by the Kilkenny Triathlon Club. The event saw people take on a 3km run in the Castle Park, then head out on the roads to complete a 20km cycle, before returning to the Park for another 3km run to the finish line in front of the Castle. A popular event on the Triathlon Ireland spring calendar, there has been plenty of work going on behind the scenes with KTC members working hard to deliver another top class event.
